"While reading your book what struck me was my lack of perceptiveness to all the miracles that God does for me (us) every day. I was reminded of the Israelites in the book of Exodus. While traveling through the desert on their way to the Promise Land, God miraculously provided them mana to eat. Even after having seen some of the miracles God had done for them while leaving Egypt, including the parting of the Red Sea, they were quick to dismiss this miracle that God provided them each and every day. While not in the literal sense, many of us are going through deserts of our own. We view our lives as dry and barren, with little to be thankful for, and no reason to exist. At least that’s how we see it. We drudge through life complaining about every little thing and much like the Israelites who dismissed the mana that God provided for them, we dismiss the miracles that come our way each and every day. I think many of us are looking for that “big” miracle - our own parting of the Red Sea, when just the fact that God has given us another day to live on this planet to enjoy our families, friends, etc. is a miracle in itself. One that we all too often take for granted. If we stop and take a moment to look around us, they’re everywhere. You’re circumstances have forced you to recognize this - you truly appreciate the miracle of being given life each day, and all the other miracles that are happening all around us each and every day. Reading your book has helped me to see them as well."
