Know your Value …
Most of us have heard the lesson of the $20 bill. A speaker stood before the audience holding up a $20 bill. He asked who in the audience would want it. The hands went up all over the room. He then managed to crumple it in his hands. He then threw it on the ground and stepped on it. He then ground it into the floor with his shoe. He then picked it up and asked who still wanted the $20 bill. The hands all still went up because the value of the $20 bill did not change regardless of what he had done to it.
I want to remind you of your value. Do not let the world convince you that you have no value. I know you’ve been crumpled in someone’s hands, stepped on and even squashed into the floor like a bug but your value is your value and no one can take it away from you unless you let them, please don’t let them. When someone crumples you, there will be someone sent to straighten you out. When someone steps on you, there will be someone sent to brush the dirt off and when someone squashes you like a bug there will be someone sent to remind you that God Loves you and can bring you Life again. It reminds me of Humpty Dumpty but that story has been missing the ending for too long so it’s time to write it in :)
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall,
All the King’s horses,
and all the King’s men,
couldn’t put Humpty together again.
Then a bell rang that was heard thru the land,
God came Himself to give a great Hand,
What all the King’s horses and men couldn’t do,
God fully restored by speaking I Love You.
Please know God Loves you no matter what the world has done to you. Know your value.

A Thankful Heart is a Happy Heart …
Samantha had to do a project at school one year sharing some things about herself and those in her family. One thing she wrote that really touched my Heart and made me smile is “a thankful heart is a happy heart.” When we learn to truly be thankful for what we do have, we are no longer focusing on what we don’t have. I’ve learned when my Heart starts out my day saying, “Thank you, God for another day and all you have done and are doing in my life”, I get out of bed on the right side of the bed instead of the wrong side. I’ve learned that not only is it important to thank God but just as important to thank others in our life. When someone takes a moment from their Heart to say “thank you, because of you I am a better person” or “thank you for being you because you have made such a difference in my life”, no money in the world could buy that treasure. It’s important the words come from your Heart in other words don’t just say them to say them. Your Heart will speak that thankfulness, you just need to listen for it. So I want to encourage you to listen for that musical note of thankfulness and when it plays, ensure you take a moment to thank the person’s name it sings. They may have no clue that they have even made a difference in your life. It will Bless them and it will Bless you.
Affirmation, each and every Heart needs it so listen for that beautiful song to play.

Do not fear …
Fear can rob you of everything but only if you let it. What is it you are afraid of? Are you afraid of failing? Are you afraid of change? Are you afraid of your past? Are you afraid of people? A lot of the fear people experience is fear of people. They fear what other people will do, say or think. Who is man when God has given you the stars of the sky? Do not let the world rob you of all God has planned for you. Instead of cowering down because of fear, stand tall knowing God is bigger than anything you face and that includes people.

When your faith exceeds your fear (even by a smidgen), you have entered into the world that moves mountain after mountain and brings miracles. Faith is a condition of the Heart. It’s when you cling to God knowing He does have a plan for you even though the world says you’re past hope. It’s when the world crumbles under your feet and you thank God because now you have a chance to get your feet clean (there’s no more dirt to dirty them). It’s when the world says impossible and you shout POSSIBLE! I see people say no when they should say yes. I see people close off their heart when they should be opening it. I see people run away from the very thing they should be running to. Unfortunately fear has them blinded. They then feel frustrated, discouraged and do not understand why God hasn’t answered their prayers or opened those doors when He has been trying to answer their prayers over and over again but they can’t see past their fear to see what they have been praying for is right in front of them. Do not have more faith in fear than you do in God or it will rob you of your Blessings. I don’t want you to miss your Blessings.

Inhale, Exhale … Love
The Hearts are longing for Love in the world. Each and every Heart is designed to give Love and to receive Love. To breathe, we inhale and then we exhale. They go together and why it is important to both give and receive Love. If we only exhale then we are not breathing. If we only inhale then we are not breathing. Only when we inhale and exhale are we actually breathing. If you continue to give Love but cannot receive Love due to what the false face of love has done to hurt you then you aren’t breathing and if you’re not breathing, you’re not alive. Please don’t walk around dead, God has given us breath. Our bodies are designed to breathe without having to think about it. It’s just how we were made and we actually have to think to stop that natural process of breathing. So if you aren’t able to Love (whether giving it or receiving it) then please quiet the mind and get to know the real face of Love … the one that is patient, kind, selfless, humble, forgiving, joyful, good, trusting, and enduring. The real face of Love is unconditional, never fails and endures forever. Have you met that Love yet? If not, keep seeking until you do. That Love is what we are designed to be and to live. For God designed us in His very own image. So if your heart longs for that Love then become that Love. Remain in Him and He will remain in you.
Love is a gift that can be given without cost and when received is a gift money can’t buy.

True Beauty …
Our life is not only a story, it tells a story and with more description than any words could ever bring. Actions truly speak louder than words. What story is your life speaking? Are you angry? sad? or just plain fed up? Or are you happy? thankful? content? What people often don’t realize is the person standing next to you in the store who sees you lose your temper with your kids or spouse only knows you through the story that your life speaks. In other words there are no excuses or trying to justify your behavior because you aren’t going to have an opportunity to say, “oh, it’s just work getting to me” or “I’m going thru a lot right now and am ready to blow a gasket”. Throw out the crutch named excuses and the other crutch named self justification, God’s the only one who can justify.
If your Heart is convicting you right now please don’t get discouraged, be thankful for the conviction because the good news is your behavior can change. That behavior is NOT who you are so don’t own it! How do you know for sure that behavior is not who you are? Because the conviction in your Heart is God saying, “Child, you know better. This is not who I brought you up to be.” So, just as a child gets a little butt spanking and learns not to behave a certain way, this is your butt spanking. It’s time to mature into the full Beauty He has called you to be. It doesn’t matter if you are man or woman God is beautiful and His Beauty is meant to shine through you, no more excuses and no more justification of why you behave a certain way. It’s time to claim who you are in Him by living it. You CAN do this, ask Him for help. Today is the day for change.

Shine Bright …
A friend and I were talking over tea and she asked me, “Have you ever driven by and seen a corner that used to have a building but the building was knocked down and now you can’t remember what was there?” I said, “Yes.” She said, “I feel like that building.” I said, “Oh my goodness, how can you feel like that building? All the Hearts you have touched just by being you with a kind word, a smile, an act of kindness that you have done. God doesn’t need a degree, a fancy title or some huge status in the world that isn’t what He or anyone else is going to remember. People remember those who have touched their Hearts and you have done that A LOT. Who are the people in your life that you would remember?” She smiled as I saw the Truth sink in. I said, “You have done a lot with that dash already.” She said, “The dash?” I said, “Yes, the dash. The line that designates on a tombstone the life we’ve lived from the moment we were born to the moment we die. You HAVE done a lot with that dash, more than most people I know don’t let the world rob you of that reality.”
I can’t stress this enough, there are NO EXTRA PARTS in this world. If you are alive and have breath then you are here for a very specific purpose. Your role DOES matter. What if you are the person who offers a kind word to a man in line at the gas station and because of you he didn’t go home to beat his wife that night. Do you think it made a difference not only in that man’s life but how about to his wife? You cannot even comprehend how many lives you personally have impacted just by being you (maybe one smile, one kind word, or one helping hand).
Don’t look at all the things you feel you haven’t done instead look at what good you HAVE done and multiply it! You do not have to be some big star to shine bright you just have to be a star … Shine Bright!

Believe …
Last weekend I woke up early Sunday morning my Heart was so drawn to get outside into nature. I put on my yoga pants, my sweatshirt and tennis shoes. I grabbed my IPhone and began to listen to the songs saved in my playlist. The sun had already ascended as its rays peeked over the roof tops. The sky dawn was beautiful and cool brisk air filled my lungs with life. The birds were singing so much I could hear them thru my earbuds. I took my right earbud out so I could hear more. Their music was filling the air with something very special indeed, different than past springs. Their songs were speaking right to my Heart. It’s as if I could see the notes form beautiful words floating through the atmosphere. I could see and feel words of Hope, Faith, Love, Peace and Thankfulness being sung into the earth. The sun’s reflection on the lake was dancing to the sound of the music filling the air. The ducks and geese were basking in the light as if they were being showered with gold. On the beautiful lake usually the ducks are in their group and the geese in theirs but this morning was different. They were all intertwined as they gracefully swam together. I stopped to watch them and thanked God for the gift of Life. Tears filled my eyes as He brought me back to years ago when I laid in a hospital bed facing death over and over again. I had failed every treatment and there was nothing more the doctors could do. At that time I didn’t have a church and wasn’t reading the Bible but I had God. I Believed. It was Him and me in that hospital bed. I cried out asking for the chance, just one chance, to share the Heart He has given me with the world … the whole world. Asking Him to heal me and help me to take the Faith and Love He has put in my Heart and put it into each and every Heart. I said, “God, please if you will bring me this miracle I will spend the rest of my days bringing Your Faith and Love to every Heart that crosses my path. Will you give me that chance, please Father, just one chance?” What I discovered was that childlike Faith He has instilled within my Heart is all I needed. He moved mountains on account of my Faith and sent me miracle after miracle. There I stood before the lake, tears streaming down my face, my Heart overflowing with thankfulness of how wonderful God is.
And the answer is so simple … Love Him and cling to Him like a little child. I learned we truly cannot comprehend all He will do for those who Love Him. He continues to shower my life with Blessings that seem too good to be true. He continues to make the impossible possible in my Life and He can do it for you too … Love Him and Believe.
He will not forsake you. He has plans to prosper you, not harm you but to give you hope and a future. It’s time for that future to begin today, it’s a New Day.

Hear the Silent Cries …
Do you understand that you are important? Do you understand you are worthy? Do you understand that the things planned for your Life are far greater than you can imagine? No one and nothing is beyond hope and that includes YOU.
And if you already know that, will you please open your Heart to the Hearts around you who don’t? There are so many people who are lost, broken and feel no one cares whether they are dead or alive. And why? One of the reasons is because the world we currently live in has everyone on an agenda when God is standing holding in His hand a piece of paper asking, “What about My agenda?”
There are Hearts surrounding you who need Love, who need a word of encouragement, who need to know that THEY DO MATTER. Who is it around you that people don’t even notice? Will you open your Heart and Love them today? Will you be the one to go out of your way to make a difference? Please be attentive to the Hearts around you that are crying silently. They may be asking God for just one confirmation that their existence in this world does matter. You could be His Voice today to bring that confirmation. You could be that Heart He uses to Save a Life.
Please Love them. Please pray for them. Please never give up hope that God has a plan and a purpose for each and every life in this earth.

The only way to teach a baby Love is to Love them. They don’t understand any other language.
No matter how strong our Faith, we go through life lessons to draw us closer to God, not away from God.
The Hearts that are True are the ones people are drawn to when the world crumbles under their feet.
The most important relationship we will ever have is with God but it is often the one people spend the least time investing in.
Believing in God is not a religion but a way of Life.
When we Bless others then we are Blessed.
Change can happen but it has to start with us first.
The mind is a powerful thing but is useless unless the Heart is beating.
Words cannot be taken back.
Surrender is one word that has the power to change your Life forever.
Truly all things are possible, ALL THINGS, when we Believe.
Without Love, we have nothing and we are nothing.

Love one another …
A good friend of mine came over this week for tea. She began to share a story with me. She said, “I want to tell you about my friend’s vacation. She and her husband took a bike trip down the Natchez Trace (a 444 mile long route that traces through Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee). It was really hot that day so what water they did have they went through really fast. My friend was panicking a bit so they went off path to try and find some water. They went into a small town where a man was watering his yard. They were so thankful to see him so they could get some water and get back on their bike trip. They approached him and asked him if they could have some water. He looked at them and asked, “What religion are you?” I said surprised, “He did?” She said, “Yes, he did and my friend’s husband who is a very personable guy smiled and jokingly said, ‘I hope you don’t hold it against us but we’re Catholic’. The guy looked at him and said, ‘at least you’re Christian’ and then gave them the water.” She said, “I couldn’t help but think what the wrong answer would have been and thinking would he have really denied someone water?”
God comes disguised in many ways … many, many ways. Can you see into the Heart of each person or are you seeing the outside and denying someone water? Every living creature requires water to live. Please see others through the eyes of your Heart and not the eyes of your head because the Heart will see what God sees and He Loves all children especially those who go off path looking for water to help them keep going on their journey. Leave the judging to God for it is His to judge not us. Imagine turning God away when He came to you for water. What you have done to the least, you have done to God. Love one another.
