A Few Good Men …
A Few Good Men. We are in the strongest battle of good against evil this world has ever seen. Many leaders are out there arming up their soldiers for battle with the focus being on the big picture, the war that needs to be won. They study their enemy. They strategize tactics necessary to claim Victory. They go thru rigorous and strenuous physical conditioning to ensure each and every soldier has the physical endurance and strength before facing combat. They don’t yet understand that the key to Victory starts within the soldier’s Heart.
I really enjoyed the movie Captain America because they chose a man based on his Heart and not his physical attributes. This is the key the world is too easily looking past. A man with the right Heart, can face anything, can endure anything, and will always overcome his enemy. It’s a secret weapon needed to put the evil down once and for all in this world. For when a man can overcome good against evil within his very own Heart, then he has persevered, endured the impossible, fought the biggest Beast and won! That is when all honor and glory is bestowed upon him because then he has proven worthy of the call. He walks this earth in Honor, Integrity, Valor and Dignity. These are the men we need protecting, defending and overcoming this world. Many are called, few are chosen. We need a few Good Men, are you one?
The strength needed to overcome is held within the Heart, not the muscles.

As we go thru life, we live and we learn.
We wander off path to learn the value of the straight path.
We make mistakes to learn the gift to forgive and be forgiven.
We hit rock bottom so we are forced to look up.
We experience weakness so we learn how to gain strength.
We face fear so we are taught the importance of courage.
We face sorrow to learn the gift of happiness and joy.
We go thru heartbreak to learn the difference between false love and True Love.
We experience death so we can embrace and value the gift of Life.
Don’t give up, keep taking the steps even if the tiles are crumbling under your feet. It will all come together and that beautiful rainbow WILL reach down to touch the grass right before you to bring Heaven to earth.

True Beauty …
Our life is not only a story, it tells a story and with more description than any words could ever bring. Actions truly speak louder than words. What story is your life speaking? Are you angry? sad? or just plain fed up? Or are you happy? thankful? content? What people often don’t realize is the person standing next to you in the store who sees you lose your temper with your kids or spouse only knows you through the story that your life speaks. In other words there are no excuses or trying to justify your behavior because you aren’t going to have an opportunity to say, “oh, it’s just work getting to me” or “I’m going thru a lot right now and am ready to blow a gasket”. Throw out the crutch named excuses and the other crutch named self justification, God’s the only one who can justify.
If your Heart is convicting you right now please don’t get discouraged, be thankful for the conviction because the good news is your behavior can change. That behavior is NOT who you are so don’t own it! How do you know for sure that behavior is not who you are? Because the conviction in your Heart is God saying, “Child, you know better. This is not who I brought you up to be.” So, just as a child gets a little butt spanking and learns not to behave a certain way, this is your butt spanking. It’s time to mature into the full Beauty He has called you to be. It doesn’t matter if you are man or woman God is beautiful and His Beauty is meant to shine through you, no more excuses and no more justification of why you behave a certain way. It’s time to claim who you are in Him by living it. You CAN do this, ask Him for help. Today is the day for change.

Butterfly Vision …
Spring is in the air. Spring is a time for new beginnings, a time of rebirth and renewal, a time the birds sing and fill the land with beautiful music. The world has been waiting for you to emerge from your cocoon, are you going to sit on your branch or are you going to spread your wings and fly? Although a butterfly is beautiful even being still, you can’t see its beautiful grace until it takes flight. It looks as if it floats upon the waves of the air effortlessly. Its wings are light, colorful and beautiful.
We can learn a lot from the transformation of the caterpillar to the butterfly. It transforms from what looks like a worm to a beautiful creation. It is nothing like it was when it inched across the earth. A caterpillar has what’s called simple eyes, they can only detect the difference between light and darkness, they cannot clearly see images. When they emerge as a butterfly, a butterfly sees ultraviolet light (light that comes from the sun). They see a spectrum of colors that the human eye cannot detect or perceive. This vision is important in its mating because its vision is what allows it to recognize its mate with similar colors. It cannot find its proper mate until it is given the vision to do so and that is impossible in the caterpillar stage. It must first transform into a butterfly. So if you are in a relationship where you feel you are hitting your head up against the wall, ask yourself if you have yet emerged as a butterfly. If not, how do you expect to see the perfect mate for you when you are not given the vision to do so until you have transformed from the worm like stage to being a butterfly?
You will have the Life you have always wanted, you just need to be patient and let God transform you from the worm like stage to a beautiful butterfly … then you will see and live a whole new world. From that maturity is when you are equipped to see what God has planned for your life until then you haven’t yet been given the eyes to see or recognize it. So why are you getting frustrated? Trust and know there is a plan for you and your Life.

Caterpillar keeps coming up everywhere. When I see a caterpillar, I see the beautiful butterfly that emerges, so much in fact it is hard to even think of them as a caterpillar at all. I see them and know them as a butterfly although right before my eyes is what looks like anything but a butterfly. God is teaching me that although a caterpillar will become a butterfly, they can’t fly until they have wings. And it is very hard for them to see themselves as a butterfly because all they have ever been or known themselves to be is a caterpillar. A caterpillar goes through a process of transformation. One that is comletely life changing. One that emerges out of the darkness. Until the caterpillar goes into that cocoon and emerges out of the darkness, it looks in the mirror and sees a caterpillar and when compared to a butterfly, it feels less than beautiful. The process of transformation is not easy and is the time that Love is needed most. Those steps of moving one inch at a time, spinning the cocoon themselves that brings them into darkness are all critical steps to their transformation and them emerging as the beautiful butterfly they were meant to be. So when the caterpillars come into our lives, we need to love them as caterpillars. We need to love them while they are in their cocoon, the cocoon they spun to surround themselves with darkness. We need to be that voice outside of the cocoon telling them, “It’s going to be okay. You will see the light of day again, hang on … I love you.” When they emerge, we can then spread our wings and fly together celebrating the beautiful miracle God has done. Whether you are in the caterpillar stage or have emerged from your cocoon, please never lose sight of how critical the caterpillar stage is and remember the dark cocoon each person spins for themselves is the very thing that transforms them into what they were designed to be – don’t judge, just Love.

Mountain of God …
Don’t get frustrated with yourself. The most important thing no matter what you face is that you believe God does has a plan for you and you continue to push forward, don’t give up! The battle is fierce, I know and just when you get to a point you begin having joy then something happens and the sorrow comes. The joy will return and soon will stay forever so please focus up no matter what. Know that when those tears come from deep in your soul, and the pain hurts so much you feel you are crying tears of blood … those tears wash away the things that are entangling you, they bring strength and they rise you up to higher and higher levels until you are on that mountain with God.
Take each day at a time. Reflect on the past but don’t live in it. Look forward to the future but don’t have a permanent address there. Be thankful for today because that is where the true gift is hidden.
Faith grows one step at a time. Love grows one Heart at a time. Life emerges one tear at a time.
The sorrows aren’t easy but for each sorrow there will be great joy until all of those tears have washed away the spell (the intoxication) the world has had you under and you are once again a mirror image of Him.
One Moment
It’s that one moment in time when a hand reaches out of nowhere to bring into our very being the beginning of Life. It is the one moment all your tears come together to form a beautiful cascade of clear flowing water.
One moment, “the” moment when suddenly the light turns on and you find yourself standing in front of a mirror that you had no idea was even there.
You walk up.
Put your palms flat to the glass.
Look into the mirror.
No longer do you see your own reflection but something new.
There staring back at you is a beautiful reflection of Love.
It’s the one moment when Life truly begins.

Long ago when life seemed to be overwhelming,
You were there for me.
Through all of the tears,

I didn’t know where life was taking me,
I didn’t know this was where I was supposed to be,
But You saw me through and knew exactly where You were bringing me.
