Clean Laundry …
As we walk this journey, we learn that we are the only ones that can make the decision to put the things down in our lives that have been burdening us. We cry out to God asking for Him to make the load lighter but He says, “Child untie the binding, remove some of the bags and your load will be lighter.” I visualize it like a camel with bags stacked and tied upon its back walking thru the desert. The walk in the desert is hard enough without being overloaded with baggage. Unlike the camel, we have the choice and the ability to untie what is binding us and remove anything that is dragging us down. That baggage is often filled with regrets, mistakes and bad decisions made that need to be dealt with.
When you go on vacation you pack a bag and leave with a suitcase full of clean clothes for your trip. When you come home from vacation, you unpack your bags and sift through the items. You make a pile of dirty clothes and clean clothes, you know which ones are clean and which ones are dirty no one knows better than you without having to sniff around (I know not a pleasant thought but you know it’s true :) You then take the dirty clothes and you wash them, right? Then why in the world when it comes to your life do you still have suitcases filled with dirty laundry that you haven’t dealt with? I want to encourage you to dig them out and wash them. Is anyone able to look at a shirt that has been washed and still call it dirty laundry? If they do, what they speak isn’t true … the truth will set you free. Are you the same person that made those mistakes? If you have learned from them and changed your ways then what are they going to accuse you of, clean laundry?
Please understand WE HAVE ALL MADE MISTAKES – every single person. Learn from your mistakes, become a better person for having made them and always, always keep moving forward until you reach the point of NO MORE and are able to untie that binding and take the bags down to clean the laundry that has been burdening you.

Live your Dream …
While having coffee with my dear friend Janet, we were talking about life, living our dreams and how age truly is only a number. I was sharing with her how people currently are so focused on that number that it’s actually pretty binding. It’s like people put their life on hold until they reach a certain age or even put their life on hold because they are a certain age saying it’s too late for them. I think, “TOO LATE? If you are still alive then you are still meant to live the dream that is beautifully planted within your Heart.” She then said something that was so true. She said, “People always say they are too young or too old. Why doesn’t anyone say this is the perfect age to pursue my dream?” I said, “That is soooo true! Why don’t they? Instead there always seems to be an excuse.”
Stop getting in the way of your dream and live your purpose. I don’t care what age you are, it is never too late. Janet didn’t pursue her dream until she was in her 50s. She started out as a registered nurse but her Heart kept reminding her of what she always dreamt of doing. One day she decided this is the perfect age to pursue my dream and she went for it! She knew she was to teach music. It took a lot of courage but she took that first step forward and started The Music Connection (one in Orland Park and Frankfort, IL). She now has almost 400 students and LOVES what she does. She blesses the community with free children’s concerts every year and they are absolutely phenomenal. She is being blessed and she is blessing others.
So what are you waiting for? Life is waiting on you, no one else. Listen to your Heart, walk into your purpose … the world needs you and your gift.

Steps of Courage …
Growing up my Dad would always say, “You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink.” We have choices in life that only we can make. Many are learning how to hear His Voice (how to listen to the pull on their heart – the Heart Tug) and that is wonderful but what is pressing on my Heart is although more hear Him, very few actually walk forward in what is being spoken. What good is it to hear His Voice if you don’t actually take the steps to do what He is commanding? He wants a Blessed Life for you as much as you do. The way for you to get that Blessed Life is to hear the steps He is ordering and make the choice to walk in it.
You have had a strong pull on your heart (Heart Tug) that you have been pushing to the side. Delay no more in that prompting, do not let any worry blanket you but instead trust God and take the steps He is directing. I know it seems scary but He will bless you for it. Where He guides, He provides … for when He speaks to us and we are obedient to what has been spoken, we will never thirst but will always have exactly what we need at the exact time we need it – who wouldn’t want that Blessed Life? It’s time for all your ways to be Blessed – listen and then have the courage to take the steps to the fully Blessed Life He has planned specifically for you – I’m excited for you (yes, it’s that good! :)
